Tennant & Mall Guidelines

Rules & Regulations

We are very proud of our unique atmosphere and want to promote the integrity of the ambiance for our visitors. Our goal is to enhance the overall shopping experience at Gaslight Square Shoppes. These guidelines are part of the tenant lease agreement.

The rules and regulations set forth by Gaslight Square management are made a part of each Lease, and Tenant agrees to comply with and observe the same. Tenant’s failure to keep and observe said rules and regulations shall constitute a breach of the items of their lease in the same manner as if said rules and regulations were contained herein as covenants.

Gaslight Square management reserves the right from time to time to amend or supplement said rules and regulations and adopt reasonable additional rules and regulations, all of which shall not be inconsistent with this Lease, shall be applicable to all tenants of the Square and shall pertain to the operation, maintenance or use of Gaslight Square.

Notice of such additional rules and regulations, and amendments and supplements, if any, shall be given to Tenant and Tenant agrees thereupon to comply with and observe all such rules and regulations and amendments thereto and supplements thereof.

Hours of Business

All Tenants of Gaslight Square shall establish operating hours utilizing the following minimum schedule:
Monday-Saturday ~ 10:00AM – 5:00PM Sunday ~ 10:00AM – 4:00PM
*Hours may vary by season. Sunday openings at tenant option.

Smoking Policy

The designated smoking area for tenants and tenant’s employees is behind the mall on the alley side.

For the enjoyment of our guests and shoppers, smoking in the front of the building is prohibited.

It is your responsibility to keep the designated area tidy and clean out any receptacle placed in designated smoking area. Please do not throw debris on the ground.

Signage & Posters

Gaslight Square strives to create a magical and unique environment. Therefore it works to have continuity with the 1900s era theme of the mall. In this vein, it offers its Tenants thematic signage for their stores. This is the only approved signage in the Gaslight Square.

No paper signs or posters are to be taped on windows or doors of any rental unit within the Gaslight Square Shoppes as it would not exist in the 1900s. Nothing is to be hung using scotch tape or any type of tape. Suction cups or another approved adhesive, which is not visible to customers should be used in its place. Requests for large signage can be placed, but must stay with the theme of the Gaslight Square and be approved by management before being placed.

Event posters should be left for Gaslight Management to be reviewed and will be posted if approved. An organization requesting signage for events shall be directed to Gaslight Management for approval.

Hallways & Commons Area

These areas are not included in any tenant’s rent agreement and are considered additional unpaid square footage. No items shall be placed outside your unit which are not approved. A tenant will be fined for items (outside of the one cart Gaslight Square purchased for your unit and agreed upon sandwich boards) left outside their unit. The fine will amount to $25.00 per item, per instance and accrue on a daily basis until breach of agreement is corrected.

Deliveries

All deliveries and boxes shall be dropped inside the appropriate unit or in the lower level storage area designated to that unit. Deliveries are not to be dropped in the hallways or stairways, as this is a code violation.

Trash Disposal

Dumpsters behind the building are for Tenant and business use only. Household waste is not permitted. Basic trash, broken down cardboard and recycles are acceptable. No pallets, construction material or other waste permitted.

Parking

One designated parking space for each unit comes with the lease agreement. Rental unit number is on the sign.

Alarms

It is the responsibility of each tenant to notify the mall property manager  of changes to alarm codes. For the protection of the mall and mall businesses, each employee should have their own alarm code. Please notify management of new employees using the alarm system so a new code may be entered and former employees no longer with you so their code may be removed.

Storage

There is storage for each unit in the basement. Nothing is allowed to be left in the common area at any time. Items that are left in the hallway will cause that unit to have a fine of $25.00 per item per instance. The area to storage in the lower level is not in the alarm path. Please review this area with all new employees. If persons stray off that designated area to storage, alarms will sound. If this occurs, and management or maintenance has to be called in, a fine of $50.00 per instance will be charged to the business that set off alarm.
